AST: Requiem

I've always wanted to do a series of the K-ON cast dressed all up in mourning type outfits. I figured if AST were actually real, or something, the outro song would have them all in dresses and stuff that you'd normally see being worn at a funeral, or at least modified versions of those.

I really don't think I have much PATIENCE to doll all five girls in fancy mourning dresses, though, so I figured just Mugi would suffice, since she's the main character right now in the story.

And you know what I'm really proud of? Her shoe. It doesn't seem all THAT amazing, but keep in mind I can't draw shoes. All of my foot-wear I give my dolls are all just one-style lumps of pixels. But obviously that kind of "shoe" wasn't going to fly, and the design called for something more fancy. It certainly wasn't easy, dolling something that actually looked something like a high heel was like pulling teeth, and I actually had to reff off an actual shoe of mine, but I finally came up with a good product. I hope it looks as decent to you as it does to me!

...oh! Right, I also wanted to talk about her veil and glove she's wearing! Making them was actually really simple, even if I just used paint. I took a little squared and alternated white and gray pixels in it, like a mini checkerboard, then copy and pasted it over and over again until I got a large enough area that would fit the veil and the glove. It's a lot easier than just layering something with one solid color on top of things, you don't have to bother about changing the color of what you just layered the object over...
